We had a great turn out of about 21 people, including some from Seguin and New Braunfels when we went to present Congressman Charlie Gonzalez with a green hard hat to remind him that the American Energy and Security Act was intended to promote green jobs and protect against climate change. We had 5 folks from the Congressman’s district so Madeline Dewar and three others did the honors of delivering the green hard hat and letter. They spoke to his aide Sylvia and were satisfied that they’d been heard. We were visited by a reporter/photographer, Greg Harmon, from the San Antonio Current. We had folks with signs out until from 12:10 to 12:50 when Madeline and her group came back out and we took some group photos while the reporter hung around and listened to conversations and asked questions.
